Each year a number of people are either fataly or seriously injured as a direct result of working in confined spaces. This is often due to people not being aware of the dangers present, being poorly trained or not having the appropriate safety equipment.
Brian Higgisson, former assistant chief executive of the Health and Safety Authority (HSA), spoke out following a farming accident that took place in Co Louth back in 2009 stating; “the dangers of working in confined spaces are extremely serious”. With this in mind brings about our informative course, Working in Confined Spaces.
This course has been carefully designed to provide employers and employees with the crucial information so candidates can get a greater understanding about safer work practices, appropriate control measures and what the law says regarding staying safe at work.
**Please note that this is an awareness course only and should you be required to perform any work activity linked to confined spaces, you will also have to complete an ‘approved’ standard of practical training at the ‘appropriate’ level.
