Risk assessment is a systematic approach of looking at work activities and monitoring issues within the workplace that could potentially cause harm to people, property or the environment. Under the Safety, Health and Welfare Act, 2005 all employers must address this vital issue by law which helps prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all employees.

This course provides candidates with the knowledge and awareness of what is a risk assessment and how to complete one relevant to their specific workplace. In order to do this key terms will be examined, with candidates being provided with practical advice on how to identify risks also. Finally, candidates will be provided with information highlighting employers and employee responsibilities with regards to risk assessment.

This course is designed as an introduction risk assessment course for managers and employees.

How long is the course?

The duration of the course is 90 minutes of instructor led video content, with additional time required for answering interactive questions throughout the course.

Assessment

Like all our interactive e-learning courses that we provide here at First Aid Direct, every candidate is required to engage with the course material and answer multiple-choice questions throughout each module. Candidates must receive a minimum of 70% to successfully pass the course.
